Our Tailored Therapy Approach

At Beyond Healthcare, we offer a wide-range of evidence-based therapy methods, tailoring treatment plans to each patient’s individual needs. As your child grows and evolves throughout the duration of our programs, so will the types of therapy used. We intentionally choose between a variety of the most innovative therapeutic treatment, assisting your child beyond their current struggles and towards a brighter future.

What is Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy?

Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy is a compassionate and empowering form of therapy that helps adolescents understand how their thoughts and feelings influence their behavior. It’s about guiding your child to recognize patterns of thinking that may be causing them distress and teaching them ways to respond to these thoughts more positively. CBT is like giving your child a toolkit for managing their emotions and reactions, helping them feel more in control and capable of facing life’s challenges.

What are the benefits of CBT?

CBT is a particularly effective therapy method for treating a range of mental health conditions in adolescents, including anxiety disorders, depression, and eating disorders. It helps in developing coping strategies and resilience, allowing adolescents to better manage their symptoms and reactions to stressful situations. By nurturing a more positive mindset, CBT contributes to improved mental health and behavioral outcomes.

What is Dialectical Behavioral Therapy?

Dialectical Behavior Therapy is a type of therapy that combines the principles of mindfulness with practical skills for managing emotions and improving relationships. DBT is especially helpful in teaching adolescents how to cope with intense feelings, reduce stress, and interact more effectively with others. It’s about providing a safe space for your child to learn and practice these skills, fostering a sense of emotional resilience and personal growth.

What are the benefits of DBT?

We typically use DBT for adolescents dealing with emotional regulation issues, self-harm behaviors, and borderline personality traits. It’s also effective for those with mood disorders. DBT helps in developing a deeper understanding of one’s emotions and improves skills in managing intense emotional states, reducing self-destructive behaviors, and enhancing relationships.

What is Motivational Enhancement Therapy?

Motivational Enhancement Therapy is a respectful and encouraging approach that helps adolescents find their own reasons and motivation to make positive changes. Instead of imposing goals, MET involves collaborating with your child to understand what’s important to them and how they can align their behaviors to achieve their aspirations. It’s about empowering your child to take charge of their life in a way that feels meaningful to them.

What are the benefits of MET?

It helps in resolving uncertainty about change and in committing to the process of recovery. MET is also helpful for adolescents struggling with motivation issues in other areas of their lives, such as school or relationships.

What is Whole Brain Approach?

The Whole Brain Approach is a comprehensive and holistic form of therapy that focuses on nurturing the complete development of your child. This approach recognizes that every part of the brain plays a role in your child’s behavior and learning. We use creative and engaging methods to enhance cognitive, emotional, and social skills, ensuring a well-rounded development that prepares them for all aspects of life.

What are the benefits of Whole Brain Approach?

We often use this method to provide support for adolescents with a range of mental health issues, including ADHD, learning disabilities, and social challenges. It helps in improving focus, emotional understanding, decision-making, and social interactions, resulting in better overall mental health and academic performance.

What are Strengths-Based Approaches?

Strengths-Based Approaches focus on identifying and celebrating your child’s unique strengths and abilities. Rather than concentrating on weaknesses, this uplifting approach helps your child see the best in themselves, boosting their confidence and self-esteem. It’s about helping them use their innate talents to overcome challenges and thrive.

What are the benefits of using Strength-Based Approaches?

Strength-Based Approaches are effective methods for those with a wide-range of mental health issues and can be used to build self-esteem and confidence, making them particularly useful for those with anxiety, depression, and self-esteem issues. By focusing on strengths, adolescents are more engaged and empowered on their healing journey, leading to improved mental health outcomes.

What is Behavior Modification?

Behavior Modification is an effective approach aimed at encouraging good behavior in adolescents through recognition and reinforcement. It’s about understanding your child’s behavior and gently guiding them towards more positive actions, reinforcing good behavior patterns, and supporting them in developing more positive habits.

What are the benefits of behavior modification?

This therapy is helpful for a range of behavioral issues in adolescents, including conduct disorders, ADHD, and oppositional defiant disorder. It helps in establishing healthier behavior patterns, improving self-control and discipline, and respecting boundaries.

What is Multi-Modal Therapy?

Multi-modal Therapy is a flexible and comprehensive approach that combines various therapeutic methods to suit your child’s unique needs. It’s like creating a custom-fit therapy plan that addresses all aspects of your child’s well-being, ensuring they receive the most effective and supportive care possible. This approach adapts to your child’s changing needs, providing holistic support for their growth and development.

What are the benefits of Multi-Modal Therapy?

Multi-Modal Therapy is particularly beneficial for adolescents with complex conditions, as it allows for a more comprehensive treatment plan. By addressing various aspects of an individual’s life, Multi-modal Therapy can lead to more significant improvements in overall mental health and well-being.
