Heal Here. Belong Here.

Our stigma-free outpatient treatment allows teens and adolescents to receive or continue receiving specialized treatment in a fun and inclusive setting, while gaining self-confidence as they rediscover themselves beyond their mental health struggles. The less intensive nature of OP gives your child the opportunity to exercise their autonomy while still working through challenges as they arise with the support of a compassionate mental health professional.

In our outpatient mental health treatment, your child will be embraced just as they are, giving them the courage to face their challenges and break free from limiting habits and beliefs. This holistic program uses a combination of evidence-based therapy methods and treatments to provide the most comprehensive support in a fun and safe group setting.

The Benefits of Beyond’s Outpatient Programs for Teens and Adolescents in Ohio

With the guidance of our friendly behavioral health experts, your child can transition from IOP while still receiving the specialized support they need. This program allows them to continue on their path of healing and self-discovery safely and confidently.

Those in Beyond’s OP can continue enjoying the benefits of our intensive mental health support and treatment, in a less intensive setting. Your family and child will continue to have access to our resources such as group and individual therapy, as well as family therapy, all of which are helpful for maintaining progress.

This program helps your child to foster their sense of independence and self-autonomy, allowing them to take back control of their mental health. By applying the skills learned in our IOP program in their day-to-day lives, and with the continued support of our mental health experts, your child can feel empowered.

We aim to support your child’s mental health and help them manage their social relationships, family duties, school, and other responsibilities. Through a personalized combination of evidence-based treatment, they’ll gain important life skills and will learn to manage their condition by developing positive coping skills.

This program allows those transitioning from IOP to gradually adapt and adjust their daily lives and routines in a way that still supports their healing journey. Because of the flexibility of this program, your child can engage in daily activities such as school, work, or spending time with friends, while still receiving treatment.

The continuation of weekly support in our outpatient mental health treatment significantly reduces the chance that your child feels overwhelmed by the reintegration process back into their daily lives. Having our continued support can help limit their stress, improving the changes of continued progress.

In OP, our focus on embracing the whole family system remains a key component. We continue offering family therapy and educational sessions throughout the program and encourage family participation in treatment, education, skill-building, and coordinated care so families can heal and rebuild together.

Frequently Asked Questions:

The OP program is a less intensive form of therapy compared to our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). It’s designed for adolescents transitioning from higher levels of care who still need structured support. The program includes individual therapy, group sessions, and family involvement, but with greater flexibility to accommodate daily activities like school or work.

The program includes a variety of therapies such as individual counseling, group therapy, family therapy, and possibly psychiatric services for medication management. The types of therapy offered are tailored to meet your child’s specific needs.

If it becomes apparent that your child would benefit from receiving more intensive care, we would work with you to help transition them back into one of our more intensive programs. However, the goal of OP is to help transition your child out of treatment altogether, and so we will monitor for signs of regression in order to implement interventions that will help mitigate relapse.

Our part-day outpatient mental health treatment helps treat a range of mental health conditions, including:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Mood disorders
  • ADHD
  • Physical, sexual, or emotional trauma
  • Family transitions (i.e., moving or divorce)
  • Grief and loss
  • LGBTQ+ challenges
  • Relationship problems

If your child suffers from a complex mental condition but requires minimal intervention, or if they’re transitioning from one of our more intensive programs but still require more structured support, OP might be right for you.

If you’re still unsure if OP is right for you, our friendly clinical staff will gladly help you determine which treatment option would be most suitable for you and your child.

Not necessarily. We’re dedicated to assisting teens and their families who are dealing with a variety of problems. Some teens and adolescents may require more assistance due to family changes or behavioral concerns. Others might need support as a result of a specific mental health challenge or diagnosis. Because we provide such an extensive range of services, we can assist you in determining what’s best for you and your family during a comprehensive evaluation process.

Absolutely! We believe that for teens and adolescents to heal, the family must heal as well. We gladly offer counseling, education, and ample tools and resources for family members.

As this is a program mainly intended to act as a bridge from our more intensive programs back into independence, the length of the program is dependent on the needs of each individual. While some families may find that long-term support is beneficial, others may prefer shorter treatment options.

Yes, we believe financial constraints should never hinder teens and adolescents from receiving vital mental health care. As such, we are in-network with all major Ohio commercial insurance and Medicaid plans.
